Inventory of Urban Health Related Data covering the Greater Toronto Area - Supporting Documentation

Land Use Data Available through Land Information Toronto

Land Information Toronto (LIT) has land use data on a number of themes. One notable theme is Foundation Geography.  Foundation Geography includes the Toronto Centreline, Street Name (annotation), and Address Range.  This information is useful (if not required) to plot data in a GIS.

To learn more about the scope/nature of data available through LIT please contact Ms. Porcarelli.

In order to request data from LIT, a letter stating the following will be required:

  • Your name and contact information
  • Your affiliation
  • Why you need the data (a summary of your project)
  • The software application that you are using to record data, or that you expect to use when analyzing the data you wish to receive.

Please be as specific as possible with your data requests (ie. what you wish to achieve -data analysis versus a map - and how you plan to achieve it) before contacting Ms. Porcarelli.
